Flight school management software, compared

Eleven platforms, the price each one actually publishes, and a straight answer about where each is the better choice — including where it isn't us. Competitor figures are taken from their own websites as of September 2026; where a vendor does not publish a rate, this page says so rather than estimating one.

If you are here because MYFBO closed

MYFBO.com shut down on 31 August 2026 after more than 25 years. Deal with your data first and your software second: student training history, endorsements and maintenance records are the part you cannot reconstruct. What to do about a MYFBO migration now.

What each platform charges

A five-aircraft school with 60 active users

Flight Circle is the cheapest subscription here and we say so plainly. Four of these vendors will not give you a number without a sales call, which is worth weighing on its own. The question worth asking about the cheap end is what you still have to buy, build or do by hand alongside it — across the 113 capabilities we compare, 51 are included with Flight Suite HQ and not publicly documented by Flight Circle.

How to actually decide

Start with what you are currently paying for separately. Most schools comparing these platforms are not replacing one subscription — they are replacing a scheduler, a maintenance spreadsheet, an invoicing tool, a training binder and a clipboard. Compare the total, not the line item.

Ask every vendor the same three questions. What does it cost at my size, in writing? What happens to my data if I leave, and can I export it myself today? Which of the things I do weekly are not in this tier?

What the Flight Suite HQ price covers

There are no feature tiers. Scheduling and dispatch, student training records and endorsements, Part 141 syllabi and stage checks with AC 120-78B recordkeeping, maintenance tracking and fleet health, weight and balance, invoicing with prepaid blocks and account credits, card and ACH payments with instructor pay, leaseback owner statements, charter quoting and TSA checks, safety reporting and SMS, weather and FRAT tools, and the member portal are all in the base price. Analytics Pro ($29/month) and Shop Mode ($69/month) are the two optional add-ons.

Which one should you pick

Flight Circle if basic scheduling and club management is genuinely all you need, and you are happy running maintenance, compliance, safety and reporting elsewhere. At $10 per aircraft, it is one of the cheapest options, and for a club that wants a booking calendar and not much else, price is a perfectly good reason.

Aviatize if their accounting sync and multi-authority support match how your operation already works, and their higher priced per-aircraft price fits your budget.

Flight Schedule Pro or Talon Systems if you are a large academy or a collegiate program that needs a named implementation team and has the procurement process to go through a sales cycle to find out what it costs.

Flight Suite HQ if you are tired of running a flight school, charter business, or flight club across multiple disparate systems. Maintenance, EFB/Flight Planning, Part 141 record keeping, CRM, Integrated Intelligent weather, safety and full SMS, leaseback operations and charter operations all for one base price, not sold back to you as tiers. If you want data that carries across all aspects of business without breaking the bank.
